GROS ISLET, St. Lucia (AFP) – India won the third ODI with West Indies on Friday in a rain-shortened encounter at the Beausejour Cricket Ground by six wickets.
Set 158 to win after the rain reduced their innings to 22 overs India made 159 for four with a ball to spare after the hosts had scored 186 for seven from 27 overs.
India now lead the four-match series 2-1.
They won the high-scoring opening ODI by 20 runs last Friday at Sabina Park in Jamaica before two days later West Indies rebounded to secure an eight-wicket victory in a low-scoring second ODI at the same venue.
